 | Novice classes are for children ages 5-12 who already possess basic stroke technique for freestyle and backstroke, and some fundamental knowledge of breaststroke and butterfly. We build on current skills for Freestyle and Backstroke while continuing to learn more advanced skills in all four strokes. Breathing patterns, body rotation and timing are a major focus for the Novice group as well as being intorduced to basic skills and practices used on the competitive team.
Level 3:
If your child can swim Freestyle breathing to the side AND can use their arms in backstroke they are ready for our Intermediate class. Intermediate is spent honing skills and increasing endurance providing your child with the confidence necessary to progress as swimmers.
